If you have traveled to Sikkim, you know how difficult it is to describe the unique qualities of this breathtaking place and the wonderfully inspiring human beings that live there - the girls of the Sikkim Happiness Home. When Trevor Neuhoff first visited the girls, he immediately planned a return trip to film a documentary. Asking one's boss for a month off work to shoot a documentary in an obscure corner of India could be a daunting task… unless your boss happens to be Robert Downey Jr.
Robert and his wife Susan developed an interest in the project and the work of Taraloka. Thanks to the kindness, creativity, and vision of Trevor and the support of Robert and Susan’s foundation, Random Act Funding, we now have a film that beautifully represents the work of Taraloka and the inspiring path of our girls.
Greetings from the Taraloka Foundation and thirty four incredible girls. Please share this link with anyone that might be interested in supporting our work. None of this would be possible without your generosity and commitment to the girls.
