Sixteen women, Sixteen futures changed
Our graduates inspire their younger sisters in the Sikkim Happiness Home and demonstrate the ripple effect of educating women in India.

The Taraloka Foundation
The Taraloka Foundation creates opportunities for Himalayan girls and young women by providing education and safe refuge.
We support young women in the Indian state of Sikkim by funding their education — from kindergarten through college. Our goal is to provide each young woman with the opportunity to chart her own path and inspire positive change in her community.
Meet Some of our Graduates
When our girls leave their village and enter the home, they are often unaware of the true gift of education. They graduate college as well-educated and independent young women ready to change their community.

Nurses. Teachers. Leaders.
With Taraloka’s support, our girls grow into confident, educated, and compassionate women. They learn to believe in themselves, care for others, and give back to those around them.
Inspired to uplift their younger sisters and strengthen their wider community, they become positive role models and agents of lasting change.
